Pokemon Destined Rivals Announced

Today, The Pokemon Company International officially announced their newest expansion for the Scarlet & Violet era, Destined Rivals. The set will officially release on May 30 - so we can expect preorders to go on sale soon as well.

Taking what we know from its Japanese counterparts, Heat Wave Arena and The Glory of Team Rocket, we can expect 17 ex cards (with 10 of those being Trainer's Pokemon ex cards), 23 illustration rares, 11 special illustration rares, and 6 hyper rare golds. Of these, we'll of course see Cynthia's Garchomp and Ethan's Ho-Oh - and the rest of the rares from Heat Wave Arena.

The announcement also stated there would be 83 new cards tagged as Team Rocket's. Since little is known about the contents of The Glory of Team Rocket other than the fact that the Pokemon are titled as Team Rocket's (we have yet to see a specific trainer named for Team Rocket - but Giovanni is on the pack art for Destined Rivals...) - we still don't know what to expect for these half of the card line-up.
